Job description

To reinforce our teams, we are looking for a SQL Analyst Developer speaking French & English.

You will write and optimize SQL statements for data access and retention. This role combines elements of software engineering, computer programming, and data architecture and management.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, implement, refine and support business systems and databases.

  • Write complex operations, scripts and triggers to support database access and to address software bugs.

  • Properly store, migrate and structure data for multiple applications.

  • Support data migration and troubleshooting tasks.

  • Isolate and resolve database issues and maintain access and data integrity.

  • Collaborate with IT teams and business users to gather requirements and report on database-related issues.

  • Develop and enhance processes for efficient data handling and routine maintenance.


Job requirements

Your profile:

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position/as a SQL Analyst Developer

  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including RDBMS theories normalization and set-based computation.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with tools such as dbt, Airflow, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Good knowledge of SSIS and Power BI.

  • Hands-on experience with database development on Microsoft SQL Server and large-scale database deployments.

  • Ability to write a complex T-SQL code, avoiding deadlocks and other performance issues.

  • Familiarity with SQL Server encryption mechanisms.

  • Understanding of SQL lock escalation and isolation levels.

  • Experience with server development and maintenance

  • Experience in performance monitoring and tuning.

  • SnowPro Core certification or equivalent is an asset

  • Fluent in French & English

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
